Summary
Mages are those who are naturally imbued with the powers of the elements deep within their souls. Though still learning to hone these powers, they use their knowledge and intelligence learned through intense studying to significantly impact the battlefield. Growing up west of the mystical Mt. Mjolnir, in the city of magic, Geffen, they have been exposed to such powers all of their lives and use this to their advantage.
Mages rely on their magic skills as their main source of damage and protection as heavy weapons and armor only making casting more difficult. They use their knowledge of a monster's element to know what elemental magic skill to use to deal more damage to them, usually with a powerful spell. Their focus on high INT gives them a solid SP pool and high MATK, while a focus on DEX will reduce their spell's casting time.
To become a magician:
- Reach Novice job level 10.
- Talk to the Zonda Beginner Teleport NPC to teleport to Geffen.
- Head Northwest (10 o'clock) [65, 176] to find the Magician guild and enter the build.
- Talk to the Magician Guildmaster to become a magician.
Skill Trees
Each class in Runerok Online offers 3 main skill trees and 2 shorter side trees. Reaching level 3 of each skill is required in order to access the next skill within that same tree. Each skill has a maximum of 5 levels.
- Boltmage: Single target bolt skill mastering of the 4 main elements.
- Earth: Disruption and crowd control using earth property skills.
- Academic: Spear damage dealer. Focused on short range combat and vitality.
- Frost: Disruption and crowd control using water property skills.
- Voidmage: Use the power of the dark and ghost elemental properties for damage.
