Quests

Overview

Quests are a good way of obtaining base and job EXP as well as useful items in the early game.

They are also a great game to obtain rarer items like Heroic Tokens or Runestone Activators in the late game.

There are 3 different quest types in Runerok Online. Normal quests, Daily quests and Bounty boards.

Normal Quests

All towns in Midgard contain at least a quest board with EXP and item rewards granted for killing an amount of monsters.

These quests are sorted by zone and their level is indicated next to the quest name. A player cannot pick up a quest over their level, and they can only have 9 active quests at a time.

Normal quests can be completed or abandoned by going to the quest board of any town. And can be repeated as often as a player wants to.

Quest rewards vary depending on mob level. Possible rewards:

• Red Potion
• Orange Potion
• Yellow Potion
• White Potion
• Blue Potion
• Rough Oridecon
• Rough Elunium
• Oridecon
• Elunium
• Yggdrasil Seed
• Yggdrasil Berry
• Runestone Dust
• Runestone Box

Daily Quests (Lvl 90+)

Daily quests offer a challenge to experienced players. These are quests that can only be completed once every 12 hours per account.

These quests can only be picked up/turned out in specific locations across the Midgard world. They are targeting endgame dungeon monsters.

Daily quest boards can be found in the following dungeons:

Rune Midgard Kingdom

• Glast Heim

Schwarzwald Republic

• Juperos Ruins
• Odin Temple
• Thanatos Tower

Arunafeltz States

• Rekenber Bio Laboratory
• Thor's Volcano
• Cursed Abbey

Target mobs for Rekenber Bio Laboratory, Thanatos Tower and Odin Temple quests rotate daily.

The rewards for completing these quests are EXP and Heroic Emblems. Heroic Tokens will be an exchangeable currency.

The type of Heroic Emblem obtained for each daily quest will be depending on the in-game country the quest is completed in.

Heroic Emblems can be exchanged for high end equipment by Hero NPCs in Prontera (armor and accessories), Yuno (headgears and shields) and Rael (garments and footgears).

Bounty Boards (Lvl 90+)

All three capitals in Runerok Online contain a Bounty Board. Bounty boards offer a single quest that can be completed once every 12 hours per account.

These quests offer a reward for finding and killing a specific brave adventurer. The quest description tells the player where to find the wanted adventurer.

The wanted adventurer is based on one of the 12 transcendent jobs and will rotate daily.

These quests offer a runestone activator as a reward. This is the only item that can be use to activate a runestone.

Boss/MVP Hunts (Lvl 90+)

All three capitals in Runerok Online have NPCs that give a daily Boss or MVP hunt. These hunts can be completed once every 12 hours per account.

These quests offer Boss Emblems as rewards for finding and killing a specific monster. The quest description tells the player where to find the wanted monster.

Boss monsters replace traditional mini bosses with a more powerful mob. They should be soloable past 90. Tey drop a single Boss Emblem MPV monsters are harder than Boss monsters and should be attempted by parties. They drop 5 Boss Emblems.

Boss Emblems can be exchanged for powerful weapons in Prontera, Yuno and Rael by a Boss Collector NPC.
